Fallfest Gold for Rapids Peewee A
Submitted By craigshufelt on Sunday, November 25, 2018
After losing their first game on Friday, the Peewee A Rapids won five straight games to take the gold medal at the Kitchener Fallfest tournament this weekend.  The girls did so in dominant fashion, outscoring opponents 13-1 over their final five games, including a shutout win over Stoney Creek in the semifinals, 3-0, followed by another shutout, 2-0, over Kitchener in the gold-medal contest.  Both the defense and forwards did an excellent job of shutting down opponents, and both goalies had outstanding weekends.  An excellent weekend for the Rapids Peewee A, one that will hopefully carry back over into the regular season.
