Rapids Novice B Capture Gold in Fallfest
Submitted By tjlloyd on Sunday, November 25, 2018
Congratulations to the Rapids Novice B team on celebrating a weekend of firsts while participating in the Kitchener Minor Hockey Fallfest Tournament . A couple of players recorded their first career goal, while the team celebrated their first gold medal.

It began in the round robin with a 2-1-1 record. The wins were against Lambeth and West Oxford and the tie versus Chatham. It was a hard fought game against the Lady Rangers resulting in a 2-1 loss.  The girls advanced to the gold medal game with a chance at redemption against the Lady Rangers.  The girls came out flying and took a commanding 4-0 lead going into the third period.  Never looking back, the girls took home the gold with a 6-1 victory.
The coaching staff and parents want to recognize the determination and team work the girls displayed all weekend. Since the beginning of the season there has been a vast improvement that can not be denied. Keep up the hard work moving forward.
